 " It is not what you look at that matters, it's what you see " - Henry David Thoreau My name is Robert Wojtowicz and I am a fine art wedding and documentary photographer. In subjects ranging from fine art wedding and portrait photography to artistic nature and travel documentaries I attempt to capture with the camera the emotional and intellectual experience of places, people, events and things. The beauty and the inner grace of an individual human being, the energy and the dynamics of a group of people, the poetry of a moment in life, the intrinsic chaos and the heartbeat of a great city, the freedom and enchantment of an open road or a backcountry trail, the melancholy of the heartland landscape or a rusty old car, the optimism of spring blossoming in the beauty of a flower or the dream of love being fulfilled by two people together... Due to the growing popularity of my wedding photography I find myself working nowadays full time documenting the fascinating moments, exhilaration and subtleties of love and its celebration on a wedding day. I try to be an unobtrusive photojournalist recording the event and I always remain a fine art photographer at heart looking for an artistic way to tell the story of the event. I do invest a lot of time in post processing work to ensure the highest quality of the final images. Many images are edited in an unique creative way in order to show human emotions more accurately as well as to communicate the feeling of the moment in a more artful, visually engaging way. My images have been licensed by National Geographic, Penguin Group USA, Launch Creative Marketing, Museums and Galleries Marketing Ltd, PhotoArt, Backpacker, Organic Gardening, Land Trust Alliance, The Times, Truth & Soul, Publications International Ltd., Stonehill Publishing, Pace Communications and countless other publishing and advertising companies. I live with my wife and daughter at the edge of the prairie near Chicago, Illinois and I do travel almost anywhere to shoot weddings and other assignments. In my work I use exclusively Canon professional digital SLR cameras and lenses. I am a member of The Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association  "The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. [AG]WPJA members are international wedding photojournalists, who excel both in creating outstanding images through a documentary approach, and in the art of post-production processing of wedding photographs. ... The chief objective of the [AG]WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom... The Wedding Photojournalist Association is a highly screened, critical organization. Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership.
